Raw Inspiration

As we learn more and more about nutrition every day we understand how important not only our food choices are but also the manner in which we prepare our meals.

Why consider a raw food lifestyle?

I teach raw living primarily for those who want optimal health and well being. If you are experiencing a health crisis, want to regain your optimal body weight, are hormonally imbalanced, diabetic, having thyroid issues, have cellular toxicity or are not able to maintain a high level of energy, transitioning to a lifestyle with a variety of raw foods and energetically ALIVE mealsis recommended.

What is Raw?

Some people have the misconception that a raw food diet means that they will be committing to a life on nothing but rabbit style foods the rest of their lives. Or that they will waste away to nothing and become wafer thin. They also believe that the life of a raw foodist is a lackluster existence with little excitement, ability to join friends at parties or celebrate the joys of life through food. Au contra ire!

It comes down to the state of the food. If a food is raw it simply means that the enzymes that are biologically active in the food are intact and have not been harmed by heating, radiating or improper storage. Basically - the food is ALIVE!

Ann Wigmore said “When we eat dead food, we die. When we eat live food, we Live!”

Some people I come in contact with consider this way of living radical and honestly, I look at them with a curious stare while my mind ponders what is radical about eating food as it was made by nature. I find it more radical to eat foods that have been cooked at high temperatures, laden with fats, sugars, preservatives and masked by additives that have us crave the very foods that are making us sick. That to me is radical.
